The Colts have no interest in re-signing wide receiver Marvin Harrison or taking a flyer on quarterback Michael Vick.

Police still don't know who shot and critically wounded Dwight Dixon in Fairmount on Tuesday, but Dixon apparently had one person in mind.

Moments after a gunman riddled Dixon with seven bullets, the bloodied 33-year-old told a police officer he believed the gunman had been hired by NFL star Marvin Harrison, said a law-enforcement source close to the investigation.

Harrison isn't a suspect in the shooting, and investigators have not found evidence to link him to the incident, the source noted.

Police "won't know what made him say that until he wakes up," the source said.

Dixon - who last year claimed that he had been shot by Harrison following a fistfight in North Philadelphia - has been heavily sedated since Tuesday, when doctors at Hahnemann University Hospital spent 10 hours operating on him.

A Philadelphia man who says he was shot by Colts WR Marvin Harrison last year has reportedly been shot again.

Philadelphia television station WTXF and the Philadelphia Daily News report that 33-year-old Dwight Dixon was shot multiple times Tuesday. The shift director at Hahnemann University Hospital said Dixon was in critical condition late Tuesday.

When contacted by The AP late Tuesday, police said detectives were still at the scene of the shooting and no information was available.

The Ravens made their first move since Derrick Mason's retirement announcement, inviting four mid-level wide receivers for a tryout on Friday.

While all the names can't be confirmed, it is believed that D.j. Hackett will be the most recognizable receiver at the workout.

A Ravens official couldn't confirm any names or whether a workout had been scheduled.

The agents for receivers Amani Toomer and Justin Mccareins said they wouldn't be at the workout. Other free-agent receivers available include: Drew Bennett, Darrell Jackson, Robert Ferguson, Koren Robinson and Ike Hilliard.

There has been speculation that Marvin Harrison, who is considered the top free-agent receiver left, might wait until the middle of training camp before making a decision.

If wide receiver Derrick Mason follows through on his retirement announcement - he told ESPN on Monday that he's "99 percent" sure - his unexpected departure would leave the Ravens with few options to replace him.

Colts WR Anthony Gonzalez. Consider this a perfect storm scenario for Gonzalez. Future Hall of Famer Marvin Harrison is gone, and Gonzalez, who is entering his third season, is an expert route runner with good speed and the flexibility to line up wide or in the slot.

Gonzalez says: "I think people have put some assumptions into what's going to happen with this role. I'm not taking anything for granted, I can tell you that. I'm going to work as hard as I ever have and try to earn whatever extra reps I happen to get."
