Lions and former Bears’ RB David Montgomery reached an agreement on a three-year, $18 million deal, including $11 million guaranteed.

Per the 4for4 Free Agent tracker, the $11M guaranteed cash is the fourth-most among free-agent running backs since 2020. He should take on the Jamaal Williams role, which resulted in 17 touchdowns in 2022. Chicago has a load of draft picks, so look for them to address their RB needs with a rookie.

Sources say the Bears are trading the No. 1 overall pick to the Panthers in exchange for big-time compensation including multiple 1st rounders. Chicago loads up and lands at No. 9, while Carolina can draft its QB of the future.

Moore finally cracked the four-touchdown mark in 2022, but he only gained 888 yards receiving after three straight 1157+ yard seasons. In theory, Justin Fields represents an upgrade from the quarterbacks that have been throwing to Moore in recent years. His arrival is a downgrade for Darnell Mooney and Cole Kmet, though it was expected that the Bears would address the receiver position in a major way this offseason.

Pete Carroll says he expects Kenneth Walker III to play Saturday as well as DeeJay Dallas. Said Neal’s knee just didn’t bounce back this time.

If all is well with the backfield health, Ken Walker will return to his role of workhorse while Dallas and Homer split the leftovers. Walker can be considered an RB2 for Week 16.

Seahawks coach Pete Carroll said before practice Tuesday that Ken Walker was “a little sore coming out” and would not practice, and then seemed to imply it’s not certain that Walker will play against the Chiefs.

“We will see how this week goes,” Carroll said. “We have to give him every day to get back.”

Shortly after, it was revealed that the Seahawks had re-signed veteran Gallman to the practice squad, which is at least a sign they aren't sure of Walker's status for Week 16. Walker is dealing with what the team was calling a "jammed" foot, which caused him to miss Week 14's game. Seattle travels to KC in an early Saturday game so owners will be able to adjust lineups depending on Walker's status.

Panthers WR D.J. Moore, who exited Sunday's win early, will have imaging done today on his ankle. Tests will determine the seriousness of the injury.

Moore was in on 69/72 offensive snaps on Sunday, and his only fantasy output came on two rushes for six yards. He has been a borderline fantasy bust, with a rotating cast at quarterback, and now, possible finger and ankle ailments. Laviska Shenault led the team in targets (four) in Sam Darnold's second start of the season.

Chargers WR Mike Williams is not listed on the team’s injury report today and is now poised to play Sunday night vs. the Dolphins.

Williams' return will eat into Keenan Allen's ceiling but both should be in starting lineups for Week 14. Josh Palmer can now be considered a low-end WR3 while DeAndre Carter is back off of the fantasy radar.

Chargers’ WR Mike Williams was upgraded from limited participant in practice Wednesday to full participant today.

Williams' return will eat into Keenan Allen's ceiling but they will both be fantasy viable should he return in full. Palmer and Carter can be considered afterthoughts again.

For a second straight day, Chargers’ WR Mike Williams was listed as a non-participant in practice due to his ankle injury.

Things aren't trending in the right direction for Williams yet again, which keeps Josh Palmer firmly in the WR2/3 radar as he steps into his place. Last week, Austin Ekeler received an astounding 15 targets, but that is unlikely to repeat no matter the status of Williams or Keenan Allen.
