Prescott suffered the injury during Sunday’s win against the Rams. Head coach Jason Garrett did say “everything seems to be ok.”

"He just banged it up and it's hard for him to function right now," Garrett said, "so [I] don't want him throwing much in practice today."

It sounds like the team is just being extra cautious with Prescott and he should be good to go for a potential division-clinching game against the Eagles on Sunday.

In the first quarter of Sunday's 44-21 win against the Los Angeles Rams, Fox analyst Troy Aikman said Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott has a "hairline fracture on the top of his index finger." However, a source told ESPN that the quarterback does not have a fracture.

Speaking Monday, coach Jason Garrett did not confirm whether Prescott does or does not have a fracture of his right index finger.

"I don't want to get into the medical part of it," Garrett said. "I do know he has a little injury to his index finger. Again, he works through it and does what he needs to do."

Prescott suffered the injury in the Cowboys' loss to the Chicago Bears on Dec. 5 but did not miss a day of practice last week, the story said. He had the finger taped during practice and had tape on the finger to start the Rams game but took it off after the first quarter, the story added.

Cook owners may not have a chance to play him in Week 16 unless they survived his early exit in Week 15. The Vikings won't play until Monday night next week, so Cook owners moving on will need a backup plan in place. Mattison was inactive with an ankle injury leaving Boone to get the work in Week 15 after Cook left. It's a situation to monitor as it's likely worth adding Boone to rosters just to be safe.

As the Vikings blew past the Chargers on Sunday, they did so without their standout running back.

Vikings running back Dalvin Cook left Sunday's 39-10 win over the Bolts with a shoulder injury and was ruled out for the remainder of the contest.

Cook took a handoff early in the third quarter to the left side and was tackled by Denzel Perryman and injured on the play. Making his way to the medical tent, Cook emerged, but didn't have his helmet on and was ruled out by the team with the Vikings leading 18-10. Mattison was inactive in Week 15 and so it was Boone who rushed for 56 yards and two scores. It will be an interesting Viking RB situation heading into Week 16.
