HC Mike Tomlin says no clarity yet on James Conner or JuJu Smith-Schuster. Said both are questionable to play this week against Cardinals.

Tomlin said he saw both guys in training room Monday and added Conner has chance to practice Wednesday. Snell would be another decent play if Conner misses time with Samuels likely getting the pass-catching duties in the workload split. Meanwhile at WR, Washington went for a 4-111-6 line last week and would make for a solid start in Week 14.

The Steelers ruled WR JuJu Smith-Schuster out with a knee injury and declared RB James Conner as doubtful with a shoulder injury for Sunday’s game against the Browns.

Not too surprising news here as Smith-Schuster was dealing with a pair of injuries, including a concussion and had just been released from the concussion protocol. But even with that, he was still wearing a brace on his knee and was still missing practice. And Conner’s shoulder injury just continues to be a nuisance and it’s unclear when he will return. Benny Snell is coming off a near 100-yard performance last week against the Bengals and should continue with carry the load while Jaylen Samuels sprinkles out of the backfield. On the receiving end, the Steelers will continue to be led by James Washington, Diontae Johnson and Deon Cain.

Steelers WR JuJu Smith-Schuster has cleared the league’s concussion protocol but is still listed with a knee injury.

That’s one hurdle cleared for JuJu but his knee is still an issue as he did not practice Wednesday. It’s early yet, but it’s possible Juju misses another game as the Steelers continue to deal with offensive injuries as James Conner (shoulder) also did not practice. Keep an eye throughout the week.
