Packers head coach Matt LaFleur said that WR Davante Adams is "probably doubtful" for Sunday night against the Saints but "we'll give him the rest of the week to see where he's at," according to Rob Demovsky of ESPN.

Aaron Rodgers's favorite target may end up being Aaron Jones Sunday night. Rodgers also has Allen Lazard and Marquez Valdes-Scantling to help the Packers move down the field, but neither has the same level of trust from Rodgers as Adams. Jones' fantasy stock would rise if Adams does sit out, while Lazard and MVS can expect a fair uptick in targets.

Remember, George Kittle set the single-season record for receiving yards by a tight end in a season in which Nick Mullens started the last eight games. Those were mostly run-after-catch yards.

Obviously, Kittle (knee) is iffy for Sunday’s game on MetLife Stadium’s bouncy-house field. If he’s not there, I’d imagine Jordan Reed is a frequent target.

Kendrick Bourne and Dante Pettis also had good production when Mullens was under center in 2018. Mullens also threw to Matt Breida out of the backfield quite a bit, which makes Mullens a potentially good pairing with Jerick McKinnon.

Of Bourne’s 487 receiving yards, 296 came when Mullens was the quarterback. Pettis had his best NFL stretch with Mullens throwing to him — 371 of his 467 receiving yards came in the last eight games of 2018, the story said. With RBs Raheem Mostert and Tevin Coleman likely missing Week 3, McKinnon is potentially a nice play this week at RB.

What are the Saints doing with Taysom Hill?

As noted last week, his participation in offense and special teams dropped noticeably from the playoff loss to Week 1. In Week 2, Hill’s involvement dropped ever further.

The story suggests Hill is likely to take over for Brees after this season, but it also doesn't rule out Brees heading to the bench this season if the team's current play continues on the same track. The story suggests the reason Hill's workload is down this year compared to the playoffs last season is maybe the Saints don't want to get Hill hurt, which means they may be planning to replace Brees with Hill at some point, maybe even sooner than later. The team did sign Jameis Winston in the offseason. If you haven't noticed by now, Hill is actually listed as a TE in many fantasy leagues, so Hill may be worth adding to your roster just to see how this plays out over the next couple of weeks.

Davante Adams suffered a hamstring injury during Sunday's game against the Lions, Matt Schneidman of The Athletic reports.

Lazard, Valdes-Scantling and Taylor would see additional time if Adams has to miss Week 3. Adams left the game with a 3-36-0 line. Valdes-Scantling ended with 3-64-0 to lead WRs.
