Bengals coach Zac Taylor said he expects WR John Ross to be active this week.

This will be the first game eligible after being on IR for Ross. He's a deep threat weapon for QB Andy Dalton but probably isn't a safe start in what is likely a Week 14 playoff matchup.

The Eagles signed kicker Jake Elliott to a five-year extension worth $21 million.

The new deal keeps Elliott with the Eagles through the 2024 season. He has been one of the top kickers in the league this season, making all 14 field goal attempts this season, with one from 50-plus yards and three others from at least 40 yards. He has also missed just two extra points. Elliott is our No. 3 ranked kicker this week as the Eagles head to Miami to take on the Dolphins.

The Giants haven't been able to get the run game going consistently, and even more problematic, Saquon Barkley is becoming less of a factor in the pass game.

Barkley had two receptions for 1 yard on Sunday to go along with 59 yards on 17 carries (3.5 yards per carry). The struggles continue, even though he told ESPN he felt better afterward than he had following a game in quite some time. Barkley has failed to top 100 total yards in four of five games since returning from a high ankle sprain suffered in late September. This was the concern in the summer for potential Barkley owners - that defenses would be able to shut down the second year back without a lot of other threats on offense.

Bengals designated WR John Ross for return from injured reserve.

Ross suffered a shoulder injury in Week 4 against the Steelers. He is eligible to play in Week 14 against the Jets. But he can return to practice. He had 16 catches for 328 yards and three touchdowns in his first four games. He’s still a boom or bust play, especially with him not returning until the fantasy playoffs. But it is another weapon for Ryan Finley with the status of A.J. Green very uncertain.

Star running back Saquon Barkley was banged up once again during the loss. Barkley had the worst game of his career with 13 carries for just one yard, and he was seen be several reporters entering the X-ray room following the game. Giants coach Pat Shurmur would say only that Barkley "got banged up a little bit today" when asked about it at his postgame press conference.

Shurmur didn't give much more information on Monday. All he would allow is that Barkley is "fine," and that the Giants would "absolutely not" be shutting him down despite his injury issues in the midst of what looks like a lost season. Barkley and the Giants get a bye in Week 11 before getting the Bears in Week 12.

Eagles WR DeSean Jackson is having surgery to repair a core muscle injury tomorrow, sources say. Based on the timing, it appears unlikely he’ll play again this season.

This turned ugly real fast since this morning, but it also shouldn't be shocking as this seemed like the logical ending to this story when Jackson opted to rehab the injury vs. have surgery after Week 2. WR is a big weakness on this team and it's bad news for Carson Wentz. Geodert should continue to see WR3-like targets.
