Giants RB Saquon Barkley (ankle, out) returned to take limited reps Friday after missing practice earlier in the week and is out for Week 5. Barkley is eyeing a Week 6 return. Wayne Gallman is a high-volume fantasy RB2 against a pretty good Minnesota run defense.

Giants RB Saquon Barkley (ankle) did not practice Wednesday. Barkley hasn't yet been ruled out and appears to be way ahead of schedule in his recovery. If he remains sidelined, which is currently the expectation, Wayne Gallman would once again be a solid volume-based RB2.

NYGiants RB Saquon Barkley stretched + working with the training staff during media access. Light running, change of direction. Looks very good, like himself. Not practicing, but promising sign in his quest to obliterate the 4-8 week timetable for a high ankle sprain.

Fantasy Impact:

Saquon Barkley looks to return closer to four week than eight weeks and his participation on the side of practice is a good sign.

Bengals WR John Ross is expected to miss multiple games with a shoulder injury suffered last night vs. the Steelers, sources say.

Related players: Tyler Boyd, Auden Tate

Fantasy Impact:

Garafalo is saying the injury could cost Ross and the Bengals in the range of a month or so. Boyd continues to be the number-one with Tate now the WR2. Damion Willis and Alex Erickson are next up on the depth chart after Tate. A.J. Green is still looking like he's a few weeks away from returning.

Saquon Barkley has said he thinks he can beat the timetable given to him for a return from a high-ankle sprain. The Giants running back is on his way to doing just that.

He already has shed the walking boot, a week after his injury.

Fantasy Impact:

Barkley is eager to get back the story said. HC Pat Shurmur said he and the team will make the decision as to when Barkley returns on a week-to-week basis.

In the six career games where he saw at least 10 carries, he averaged 15.5 touches for 70 yards and 0.17 total touchdowns. He’s a stopgap RB2/flex option for the time being.
