Sterling Shepard won't return to Sunday's contest in Chicago due to a toe injury, Pat Leonard of the New York Daily News reports.

Fantasy Impact:

Shepard got hurt late in the first half, limping to the sideline and reaching at his left foot before limping to the locker room, per Leonard. After attempting to run a route on the Giants' first play of the third quarter, Shepard again made a visit to the locker room, and the team ruled him out a short time later. The Giants would turn to Slayton, Tate, Ratley and Board to handle WR reps if Shepard has to miss any time.

The Buccaneers have declared WR Chris Godwin our for Sunday against the Panthers with a concussion.

Fantasy Impact:

Godwin was listed as doubtful on Friday so this doesn’t come as too much of a surprise. Godwin did not practice Wednesday or Thursday and was limited Friday. The Buccaneers look to be taking a cautious approach with one of their studs. Scott Miller is now in line for more snaps with Godwin out and Justin Watson could see some opportunities as well. On the flip side, Mike Evans was a full participant on Friday after dealing with a hamstring issue.

Godwin could still make it back by Sunday but he has a few tests he has to pass and is listed as doubtful. If he's out, Scott Miller would be a Sneaky Start against a shaky Carolina secondary.

Buccaneers WR Mike Evans (hamstring) took full practice reps on Friday after being limited earlier in the week. Evans said that he was "over the hump" with the injury, so he's fully expected to play against Carolina. With Chris Godwin doubtful, he could see a ton of targets in a great matchup.

Buccaneers WR Chris Godwin is out of concussion protocol and practicing Friday, according to Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times.

Head coach Bruce Arians refuted speculation, saying Godwin is still doubtful for Sunday and is still in concussion protocol, according to Jenna Laine of ESPN. Individual practice for Godwin was part of protocol.

Fantasy Impact:

Reports accurately had Godwin practicing but not out of concussion protocol. This is a situation to watch as Godwin entered concussion protocol Wednesday.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Chris Godwin is not at practice on Thursday due to being in the league's concussion protocol.

Fantasy Impact:

Only time will tell if Godwin can get cleared in time for this weekend, but in all likelihood, he may be forced to miss Sunday's contest against the Carolina Panthers. Concussions are serious, and with the NFL finally treating them that way, there is no way to know how long any particular player will be in the protocol in any specific circumstance. Fantasy managers should start making contingency plans just in case we get an early rule out tomorrow. Scott Miller and the Buccaneers tight end duo should see volume boosts, especially if Mike Evans' hamstring is still bothering him. Justin Watson would likely ascend to three wide receiver sets.
