We saw this coming earlier today when we reported HC Pat Shurmur said Shepard "may have a concussion." He'll have to battle to be ready for Week 2. Latimer could see a bigger role if Shepard is out for Week 2.

We may not find out more about Shepard's potential concussion until the Giants release their Wednesday injury report. If he's placed in protocol, it will be a race to be ready for Week 2. The G-Men play an early game against the Bills in Week 2.

Quarterback Baker Mayfield had his right wrist wrapped after the Browns were rocked 43-13 by Tennessee in their opener.

Mayfield appeared to get hurt Sunday when he was sacked for a safety in the first half by Cameron Wake. Following the game, Mayfield said “I’ll be all right” when asked if he had gotten injured. X-rays were negative according to the team, the story said.

Good news for the Bucs as WR Mike Evans has returned to practice.

Evans followed up a No. 18 finish in 2017 with a No. 8 finish in 2018. He’s currently the eighth receiver off the board, so fantasy owners believe we’ll see a repeat of 2018. There’s a new regime in town, while DeSean Jackson and Adam Humphries are no longer around to threaten his targets. The Bucs still have Chris Godwin and O.J. Howard, so we don’t expect Evans targets to increase too much, but he should do well in Bruce Arians’ scheme.

WR Sterling Shepard (thumb) is good to go.

Although he's never been in the role, Shepard is expected to be the team's WR1 this season. This is especially true with Golden Tate suspended for the first four games. He has been a solid fantasy WR3 with Odell Beckham in the lineup and that’s about where he’s being drafted right now. The other red flag is that Eli Manning’s production is tailing off.
