San Diego Chargers running back Ladainian Tomlinson sprained his ankle in the first quarter of the season and hasn't played in the two games since. That's been a big blow to the Chargers offense. After all, here's the guy who holds the NFL record for most touchdowns in a season with 31.
Chargers coach Norv Turner is saying that it's looking likely that Tomlinson will play this weekend against the Pittsburgh Steelers, according to the San Diego Union-Tribune. He apparently went through his second full practice on Thursday. "We're making the kind of progress we'd hoped for. Based on what I've seen, I think there's a good chance (he plays)," Turner said.
Tomlinson will apparently be splitting his duties with the NFL's shortest player, 5'6" running back Darren Sproles.
