Vikes could use RB committe on 3rd down

The Vikings had one of the NFL's premier third-down running backs in Chester Taylor last season.

They don't this season.

Taylor's departure left a significant void because he handled most of the third-down work. As the Vikings prepare for their final preseason game Thursday against Denver, offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell said the team could use a committee approach with Adrian Peterson, Albert Young and rookie Toby Gerhart combining in that role.

This puts Schoonmaker more or less in TE streaming consideration, but there are far better options this week, which puts him low on the totem pole.

Eagles WR DeVonta Smith officially Out for Week 12

Eagles ruled out WR DeVonta Smith (hamstring) for Sunday against the Rams.

Fantasy Impact:

It's a bit of a crapshoot as to who the "WR2" on the offense will be, but now that he's ruled out, Brown and Goedert should get a nice boost to their bottom line. That would lock Goedert into a no-doubt TE1 role in Week 12.
