Vikings RB Adrian Peterson just told SiriusXM NFL Radio that he his going to play in Week 15 against the Colts.
The original plan was to practice this week and return to game action in Week 16, so this is a surprise. We'll update our rankings shortly, but hopefully we'll get more information about his potential workload over the weekend. HC Mike Zimmer expressed some concern about how quickly Peterson will get back into the flow: "We’ll have to see where he is at with his conditioning. There’s so many things to figure out. I think he’s in pretty good shape but he hasn’t sat in meetings for three months. There’s a lot of things to consider." This doesn't sound like someone who will immediately see his full workload. The Vikings have struggled to run the ball this year, but he should be an upgrade over Jerick McKinnon and Matt Asiata, and he has a favorable matchup against the Colts.
