For a guy who hadn't said anything since the end of the 2008 season, Brian Westbrook didn't have a lot to say Tuesday.
Maybe it was the injury questions that turned him off. It was fairly obvious the Villanova University product doubts participating fully in consecutive practices following minor offseason knee and ankle surgeries is press conference-worthy despite his history.
"Things are going well - better than before," Westbrook said. "There's been a gradual process but it's been pretty good. I haven't had many setbacks. … I think I'm right on time, right where I wanted to be at. With talking to Coach Reid and talking to the trainers, I think we're right where we want to be at."
"He's increased his workload everyday this week," Andy Reid said of Westbrook, who got back on the field Saturday. "I've been happy with what I've seen. He's worked so hard to get to this spot and I'm glad he's feeling good and strong there and we'll just continue to add to the workload next week. He's got a pretty good feel on things schematically. It's just a matter of getting him back in the swing in the offense."
