Bills Came Up Just Short in Super Bowl XXV
The Bills had their best shot of winning a Super Bowl in their first appearance in the 1990 season. Down 20-19, Bills kicker Scott Norwood missed a last-second field goal that went wide right giving the Giants the win. The Bills went 13-3 that season and had 9 Pro Bowl selections on their roster. Thurman Thomas was First-Team All-Pro at running back while defensive end Bruce Smith was the NFL's Defensive Player of the Year.
