Bears Beat: RB Jordan Howard 'had a good week of practice' could 'pry some carries' from Jeremy Langford
It's understandable that the offensive line is going to take some time to come together with the late addition of left guard Josh Sitton and switch of rookie Cody Whitehair to center. But that shouldn't bottle up the ground game when they want to run to the right side. They need to remain committed to the run, and Bears OC Dowell Loggains indicated Jordan Howard has had a good week of practice, perhaps a sign the rookie is ready to pry some carries away from Jeremy Langford.
Howard looked good in limited work last week and is the likely RB2 heading into Week 3. Langford has been unimpressive (3.0 YPC), so there's a chance Howard can grab the job in the next month or so, despite HC John Fox's reluctance to give heavy snaps to rookies.
