DFS Quarterback Analysis: Week 17

Chalk

Jimmy Garoppolo is projected to be the de facto chalk option on this Week 17 slate. You’re not really getting a discount on him so I don’t think he’s a must play. There’s an abundance of pivots off Jimmy G in both the stud and mid-range.

Jimmy Garoppolo ($7,700/$6,700) and the 49ers are on the road, but they’re now 6.5-point favorites as the Rams have nothing to play for. Sean McVay already said Aaron Donald would be out, and I’d doubt their starters in the secondary play a full game, further boosting Garoppolo’s outlook. He’s already eclipsed 300 yards passing in two of his four starts and should be a good bet to hit that mark most weeks. His upside would be tremendous if he had a red zone threat on his team.
