Primetime DFS Slate Breakdown: Week 8

Our Week 8 Primetime slate gives us three games with implied team totals of 25 points or more and one implied team total sitting at a season-low 15.5 points. The Saints and Vikings game projects to be a high-scoring affair while the Bills are 13.5-point road dogs vs the Patriots. Lets break it all down and find out where our edge is in Week 8.

Passing Games

Vikings

Kirk Cousins ($8,500 FD/$6,300 DK) has thrown the ball a lot this year. He has just three games with under 38 pass attempts and the Vikings are running the seventh-most plays in the NFL, averaging 67.3 per game. The Vikings also have a great implied team total sitting at 26 points and the Saints are getting torched through the air, ranked 31st in aFPA to quarterbacks and 32nd in aFPA to wide receivers. Adam Thielen ($9,000 FD/$9,000 DK) is dominating his team in regards to targets with a 30 percent market share of the targets and a 40 percent market share of his team's air yards. Thielen should run most of his routes vs P.J. Williams who is allowing a 119.4 passer rating when targeted. Stefon Diggs ($7,400 FD/$6,900 DK) makes for a very intriguing pivot off of Thielen and has all of the same contextual factors Thielen does (implied team total, same aFPA, pace of play, etc.) but should carry a much lower ownership. While his target share is lower, he has still seen the league's sixth-most targets and has 34 percent of his team's air yards. Aldrick Robinson ($4,600 FD/$3,200 DK) has seen nine targets over his last seven games and only logged 14 total snaps in his last two games. Laquon Treadwell ($4,700 FD/$3,300 DK) on the other hand is averaging four targets per game over his last seven. So if you are looking to stack all the Minnesota WR’s, look to Laquon over Robinson. Kyle Rudolph ($6,000 FD/$3,600 DK) is also averaging four targets per game over his last seven but the Saints have performed well vs tight ends, ranked first in aFPA to the position.
