Cincinnati Enquirer: Bengals WR Antonio Chatman suffered a
game-ending injury with 3:11 left in the first half. After
catching an 11-yard pass from Fitzpatrick, he was hit hard
in the chest by Eagles safety Quintin Mikell and lost the
ball. Chatman was taken off the field on a stretcher.
Bengals officials said he had a cervical (neck) injury. He
had movement in all his extremities and his preliminary X-
rays were normal. He will undergo further examination.
Chatman was admitted overnight to University Hospital for
observation and more X-rays and tests. "He has a chord
contusion," said Dr. Anthony Guanciale, director of the
division of spine surgery at the University of Cincinnati's
College of Medicine. "His recovery is going very well."
