Running back Ty Montgomery continues to be one of the most impressive players in Jets training camp.
The former Packer and Raven has shown his versatility and looks like he could be a significant piece of Adam Gase’s offense. Montgomery can run the ball and, as a former receiver, is a natural pass catcher out of the backfield.
The story said Gase was surprised Montgomery was still unsigned when April rolled around. Gase added the team is experimenting with how Monty will be used with his versatility and flexibility. Montgomery is 62nd on our RB list and it's tough to say how he'll be used with LeVeon Bell as the main back. But Monty specializes in third down situations so he may end up with PPR value in deeper leagues.
