Baltimore Ravens running back Gus Edwards has suffered a knee injury that the team fears is a torn ACL.
We will need to wait for confirmation on whether or not Edwards did, in fact, tear his ACL, but the fact remains that he suffered what looks to be a long-term knee injury. This is a brutal blow for Edwards and the Ravens as the power back was set to be the starter with J.K. Dobbins lost for the season. Ty'Son Williams will be the next man up at running back, and one has to believe that Le'Veon Bell may indeed be elevated from the practice squad for Monday night's game if he is cleared and in football shape. Ty'Son vaults into the RB2 conversation for the time being as the Ravens will likely be adding a street free agent to their running back room in the coming days. We will provide an update and further analysis as this news develops.
