Week 2 DraftKings & FanDuel Winning GPP Lineup Review
In this space each week, I will review the winning lineups from the DraftKings Millionaire Maker and the FanDuel Sunday Million. Analyzing top lineups can help to tease out lineup-building strategies and offer clues on how you could have landed on a similar team.
DraftKings Week 2 Millionaire Winning Lineup
Ownership
Week | QB | RB1 | RB2 | WR1 | WR2 | WR3 | TE | Flex | Flex Pos | DEF | Cumulative |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
1 | 5.8% | 15.1% | 9.7% | 23.6% | 16.9% | 5.7% | 3.7% | 2.2% | WR | 35.5% | 118.2% |
2 | 3.3% | 15.8% | 9.5% | 11.7% | 11.0% | 6.1% | 5.0% | 8.4% | RB | 9.8% | 80.6% |
AVG | 4.6% | 15.5% | 9.6% | 17.7% | 14.0% | 5.9% | 4.4% | 5.3% | 22.7% | 99.4% |
The cumulative ownership of 80.6% would have been the fifth-lowest among Millionaire winners in 2022. Since Week 1 of 2019, this is the 15th winning Millionaire lineup with no players at or above 20% ownership.
Stacks
Week | Primary Stack | Secondary Stack | Third Stack | Correlated Players |
---|---|---|---|---|
1 | QB/WR/Opp RB | 3 | ||
2 | QB/RB/TE | RB/DEF | RB/Opp WR | 7 |
Of the 55 Millionaire winners since the beginning of 2020, this was the 15th lineup to use stacks from three different games. In that span, 10 other winners have correlated seven or more players on their roster.
Flex
The field used a running back in the flex in 29% of lineups, a wide receiver in 56%, and two tight ends in 15% of lineups. Top-1% lineups used three running backs 28% of the time, four wide receivers in 66% of lineups, and only flexed a tight end in 6% of lineups. This lineup got away with it, but always put your highest-salary, latest-start player possible in your flex in order to maximize late swap options.
Leverage
Daniel Jones was a price pivot off of Jared Goff, who was one of three quarterbacks to carry double-digit ownership on the slate. Rostering Jones led to a stack of a low-owned offense.
Three pass-catchers in the Chiefs-Jaguars game came in at 14% or higher with Calvin Ridley at 24%, the second-highest ownership on the slate. A big game from Christian Kirk created one of the best leverage spots of Week 2.

Only five winning Sunday Million lineups in 2022 had lower cumulative ownership than the Week 2 winner. Since the start of 2019, this is only the fourth time that a winning lineup had no skill players at or above 15% ownership.
Stacks
Week | Primary Stack | Secondary Stack | Third Stack | Correlated Players |
---|---|---|---|---|
1 | 0 | |||
2 | QB/TE | RB/DEF | 4 |
Over the last three seasons, 69% of Sunday Million winners have correlated their running back with a non-quarterback in the same game. On average, Sunday Million winners correlate five total players in their lineup.
Flex
With a running back in the flex, 61% of Sunday Million winners since 2020 have rostered three running backs. Only two winners in that span have flexed a tight end.
Leverage
Other than the previously mentioned Giants stack, Brian Robinson was the most unique piece of this lineup. Robinson was a salary swivel off of David Montgomery, who projected as one of the most popular running backs on the slate and ended up in 17% of Sunday Million lineups.
