4 Fantasy Football Quarterbacks Primed to Break Out in 2024

When it comes to breakout quarterbacks, we’ve had some great ones in the last couple of seasons. In 2022, Jalen Hurts took his game to another level, throwing for 22 touchdowns to go along with 760 rushing yards and 13 rushing touchdowns. Last year, it was Texans’ rookie C.J. Stroud who burst onto the scene with 4,108 passing yards, 23 passing touchdowns, and three rushing scores.

Who could break out this season and lead fantasy managers to a championship? Let’s examine four options that are going at various points in the draft. All ADP data comes from our Multi-Site ADP tool.

Anthony Richardson, Indianapolis Colts (ADP 52)

Anthony Richardson was another rookie last year who looked like he was going to be a fantasy force. Unlike Stroud, Richardson’s forte isn’t carving up defenses through the air. He has the makings of being an elite rushing quarterback. Despite playing in only four games, he ran for 136 yards and four touchdowns. The problem for Richardson was injuries. He battled a bruised knee and a concussion before suffering a season-ending shoulder injury in Week 5.

Richardson is healthy coming into training camp and head coach Shane Steichen has already said that he won’t hesitate to use Richardson as a runner. In terms of his running contributions, he has the potential to be on the same level as Hurts and Lamar Jackson.
