Fantasy Football Quarterback Streaming Week 2: Baker Mayfield Could Thrive Again
Week 1 didn’t produce many gaudy passing numbers. Only Tua Tagovailoa and Matthew Stafford threw for at least 300 yards. There were only eight quarterbacks who threw for at least 250 yards. There were also just eight quarterbacks who produced at least two passing touchdowns.
There were some quarterbacks who did damage with their legs. Five quarterbacks ran for at least 50 yards, with Lamar Jackson leading the way with 122 rushing yards. Josh Allen and Jayden Daniels also had two rushing touchdowns each.
In terms of injuries, we’ve already lost a big fantasy name in Jordan Love (knee) for at least a couple of games. That could put even more fantasy managers in a position of needing to stream the quarterback position.
For streaming purposes, 4for4’s Schedule-Adjusted Fantasy Points Allowed (aFPA) is a metric we rely heavily on to determine weekly matchup strength. As the season progresses and more data is available, aFPA becomes more and more reliable, using rolling 10-week data. Targets and efficiency metrics are also considered when choosing weekly streamers.
To provide advice you can implement, candidates for streaming must be rostered in no more than 40% of Yahoo! fantasy leagues.

Week 1 Recap
We hit it out of the park with Mayfield and Carr, who both finished inside the top six in fantasy points at quarterback. Mayfield carved up the Commanders for 289 yards and four touchdowns. Carr had three touchdown passes against the Panthers. Smith didn’t throw for a ton of yards, but he did have one passing touchdown and one rushing touchdown on his way to finishing as QB9. The only real flop was Jones, who was picked off twice and didn’t record a touchdown against the Vikings.
