Fantasy Football Tight End Streaming Week 2: Parkinson Finds Increased Role
We’ve got a full week of football action under our belts to help us make decisions for the rest of the season, and one takeaway is that the tight end position is putrid. Only three players across the entire position scored double-digit half-PPR points, while most of the top options failed to perform at the level of a WR4. Tough stuff, but at least most of our league-mates had to deal with the same thing.
For streaming purposes, 4for4’s Schedule-Adjusted Fantasy Points Allowed (aFPA) is a metric we rely heavily on to determine weekly matchup strength. As the season progresses and more data is available, aFPA becomes more and more reliable, using rolling 10-week data. Targets and efficiency metrics are also considered when choosing weekly streamers.

Week 1 Recap
We couldn’t have done worse if we had picked names out of a hat. Passing was down league-wide, but that’s hardly an excuse. We still should have had some top-10 finishes mixed in, regardless of what the actual raw points scored were.
Noah Fant was out-scored by Noah Gray, Tyler Conklin caught one of only 19 completed Jets passes, and Austin Hooper was the leading scorer among Patriots tight ends. Brutal start to the season, but it’s not as if we were lapped by the managers who drafted Travis Kelce, Sam LaPorta, Mark Andrews, or others. Onwards and upwards.
