Week 7 Best Bets on Rebet: Jake's Best Bets

Every week I’ll be posting a few of my favorite plays in this article with brief write-ups of each play. I’ll use this space up top to recap the previous week and share any thoughts or takeaways I have going forward.

Week 6 Recap: 3-0, +$300 (assuming $100 units)

Overall: 11-7, $254 (assuming $100 units)

Last week went our way, as we finished 3-0! Elijah Moore had one target on the game and finished with one catch for three yards; no sweat there. Terry McLaurin was also sweat-free because, as expected, Jayden’s dropbacks spiked as a result of playing from behind and being unable to establish a run game. Terry finished with six catches on seven targets. Last but not least, Chuba Hubbard. Chuba was also easy, seeing 18 carries despite trailing for the entire game. The Panthers never give up on their run game, no matter what the score is lol.

Week 7 NFL Best Bets

Brock Purdy OVER 30.5 Pass Attempts (-110) Prop City

The KC/SF SB rematch sets up as a great game, as the Chiefs are coming off a bye and the Niners the mini-bye (Thursday Night game). The last time these two met in last year's Super Bowl, Purdy had 38 pass attempts. The KC defense has been really good this year against opposing RBs, and Mason comes into this game still banged up with a shoulder injury. The Chiefs also hold opposing QBs to the eighth-lowest completion rate (62.5%), so they could see less than normal efficiency from Purdy and the Niner's offense. The game also features a 47.5 point total.

Justin Herbert OVER 196.5 Passing Yards (-123) Prop City

Chargers offensive coordinator Greg Roman said Wednesday that the days of Herbert beating teams with his arm were "coming again." Herbert is coming off a week where he hit his season high in pass yards (237) and attempts (34), and gets a Monday Night matchup against the swiss cheese Arizona defense. It helps that Herbert is getting healthier, and so are his two tackles. The Cardinals play a ton of zone coverage which Herbert has had a lot of success against historically.

Ja'Lynn Polk UNDER 27.5 Receiving Yards (-123) Receiving Yards

Polk has cleared this number only once this season and has only caught 10/22 targets. HC Jerod Mayo said, "He needs to get over this mental hump. You gotta eliminate the dropped passes, you gotta be better blocking… He has to continue to grow, he has to work harder, he has to pay more attention to the details". Kendrick Bourne is being worked back into the rotation, and Kayshon Boutte surprisingly led the team in the routes this past Sunday. We may see Polk's route share go down in the coming weeks with the mistakes on the field and Bourne working back to full strength.
