Fantasy Football Week 8 Good Vibes, Bad Vibes (Who Should I Start)
Injuries are a constant in the NFL but last week seemed a bit extra. I’ll start with the bad vibes surrounding Deshaun Watson because, in my nine years in this business, I have never seen an injury celebrated universally like when he went down with a ruptured Achilles on Sunday. It was a mix of relief that maybe the pieces on the Browns' offense would be better for fantasy purposes since he’s been so awful with no change in QB, and of course, the karma vibes that caught up with him after his off-field, let’s just call them antics for lack of an agreeable term.
The other injuries sustained around the league are never positive for real life or fake football but sadly they do occur. We lost both Brandon Aiyuk and Chris Godwin for the season, DK Metcalf, Mike Evans, and Deebo Samuel are all dealing with either injuries or illness, and Jayden Daniels sustained a rib injury and is week-to-week. All the good vibes for a swift recovery for these guys and anyone else sidelined right now and working their way back.

Jordan Love @ Jaguars
The Jaguars are dead-last in QB schedule-adjusted fantasy points allowed (aFPA) this season. Let’s just run down the finishes of each signal caller they have faced so far in 2024. In order of games played we have QB8 (Tua Tagovailoa), QB11 (Deshaun Watson), QB1 (Josh Allen), QB7 (C.J. Stroud), QB4 (Joe Flacco), QB1 (Caleb Williams), and QB6 (Drake Maye). That’s right, Watson produced starting numbers against this Jags defense and so did rookie Drake Maye just last week. Jordan Love should be dealing on Sunday.
