Nashville Tennessean: Titans QB Vince Young practiced for the
first time since injuring his left knee in the season opener on
Sept. 7. Since then he lost his starting job, leaving him with the
unglamorous mission of proving he's healthy enough to be a backup.
His return came the same day the current starter, Kerry Collins,
shared his future plans. Collins, in the final year of his
contract, said he couldn't see himself playing backup next season.
He wants to be a full-time starter. For now, the Titans must
determine Young's status for Sunday's game at Baltimore. Collins
has been designated the starter as long as he remains healthy and
the Titans (4-0) are winning so the question is when will Young be
healthy enough to replace Chris Simms as the #2 QB. Wearing a
compression sleeve on his left knee, Young participated in
individual drills, 7-on-7 drills and took a few snaps in team
drills. "He looked good. His legs are good, he moved around,''
HC Fisher said. "We are going to pick the pace up (Thursday) and
see how he is. I need to see him continue through the week and
progress physically."
