Tampa Bay Buccaneers RB LeGarrette Blount is expected to carry his team’s workload this season.

It might be why his workload has been so light in the preseason.

Blount has rushed nine times for 19 yards entering Saturday’s game against Miami. Tampa Bay QB Josh Johnson leads the team in rushing with eight carries for 81 yards, while the Bucs have rushed for only 203 yards this preseason.

Conversely, New England rushed for 200 yards last week against Tampa Bay.

“We’re going to try to execute and try to do everything we can to get our running game started,” Blount said. “At the same time, everybody has to still realize it’s the preseason. There are a lot of teams we haven’t game planned against. We just do what we do and do our own thing.

“I know I’m going to playing more. We’ll be way more involved and way more in tune when the season comes. It doesn’t really bother me much that we haven’t been pounding on people.”
