Florida Times Union: The Jaguars will be probably be without WR
Mike Walker for an Oct. 26 home game against Cleveland after it
was revealed Monday that he was admitted to Baptist Hospital
Saturday to begin treatment for an infection in his right knee.
Team officials don't know when Walker will be released. Jaguars HC
Del Rio said the cause of the infection, which is being treated
with antibiotics, remains a mystery. The knee is the one Walker
sprained against Pittsburgh Oct. 12. Del Rio said the infection
hasn't worsened the original injury. "The MCL [injury] was fairly
minor and it continues to be fairly minor," Del Rio said. "There's
nothing that's more substantial in terms of ligament and cartilage
damage. There was not any surgery, not an open wound, yet there's
an infection." Del Rio said he was certain Walker would not be
able to practice this week (the Jaguars are scheduled to work out
on Wednesday and Thursday, because of a bye week), and said his
availability for the Cleveland game was "unlikely."
