Westbrook appeared sharp, quick and strong

Eagles RB Brian Westbrook, coming off a pair of offseason surgeries, appeared sharp and quick and strong in agility drills he ran under the watchful eye of head coach Andy Reid after practice.

Even though Reid hinted Westbrook probably won't be able to practice until at least the middle of this month, Westbrook's public rehab work over the last week should serve as a clear indication that if the Eagles would face the New York Giants in a playoff game today, Westbrook would be ready not only to play but to take the ball as often as required.

Everything we see from this guy has been very encouraging, which ironically means fans here at Lehigh University will have less of a chance of seeing him in action before the Eagles depart Aug. 12.
