Running back Clinton Portis and right guard Randy Thomas (knee) are not expected to play Thursday against the Ravens.

Portis is not limited because of an injury, but Coach Jim Zorn said he probably would let him sit out the first preseason game. Thomas, who underwent knee and vertebrae surgery in the offseason, has been slowed because of knee soreness.
