The Raiders did not divulge a time frame for second-year wide receiver Chaz Schilens' return, but it could be at least a month. He had been expected to compete for the No. 2 wide receiver slot after a solid finish to his rookie season.

Schilens, 23, played in all 16 games last season, making six starts, and caught 15 passes for 226 yards and two touchdowns. His 15.1 yards-per-reception average ranked fourth among league rookies.

In the Raiders' 31-10 exhibition victory over Dallas on Thursday, the 6-foot-4, 225-pound Schilens was quarterback Jamarcus Russell's favorite target, and he caught five balls for 52 yards.

While Schilens had been a bright spot in camp, depth at wideout is also a Raiders strength. First-round draft pick Darrius Heyward-bey continues to dazzle one series and drop balls the next, while veteran Javon Walker, recovering from offseason knee surgery, plans to suit up Monday.
