Panthers HC Fox referred to CB Sherrod Martin as having a knee sprain. He said Saturday night he had hyperextended it, but that's too close a parse to quibble with Fox's interpretation.

Also out Monday were RB Decori Birmingham (head), CB Dante Wesley (head), S Nate Salley (knee), RB Jonathan Stewart (excused, personal), FS Charles Godfrey (hand) and LB Jon Beason (knee). Now that I've typed it, that list looks horribly out of order.

Per Bears head coach Matt Eberflus: Ryan Bates remains in the concussion protocol. Elijah Hicks (ankle) and D'Andre Swift (groin) won't practice.

Teven Jenkins will be limited.

This is definitely a situation to keep an eye on, as Johnson would have a huge workload if Swift were to miss Week 12. Homer has three rush attempts and zero targets on the year.
