The Rams got a lineup bonus when running back Steven Jackson was able to play Sunday despite missing the entire practice week with a groin injury. But they didn't get much out of their running game in a 23-6 loss to the Bears.

Jackson tested the groin about two hours before kickoff under the watchful eyes of coach Jeff Fisher, running back coach Ben Sirmans and the Rams' training and medical staff.

"I gave them confidence that I could go and lead this team emotionally and be the starter at running back," Jackson said. "I felt that I could go. I felt that I wasn't going to further injure myself and make myself more susceptible to missing games. Came out of this clean. I just wish that I could've been more productive and helped my team win."

Jackson finished with only 29 yards on 11 carries, with a long run of 13 yards in the third quarter that helped set up the second of two Greg Zuerlein field goals.
