First-round draft pick B.J. Raji’s fast track to being a regular on the Packers’ defensive line might be slowed because of an ankle injury he sustained Thursday night.
Raji injured his right ankle in the second quarter against Tennessee on a quarterback sneak by Vince Young and didn’t return to the game. Coach Mike McCarthy said after the game he had no reason to believe the injury is serious, but Raji did walk out of the locker room with a pronounced limp, and his status is in doubt for next week’s regular-season opener against Chicago.
