Texans QB Matt Schaub was never going to play in the Tampa Bay game (tonight). Like many of the starters, he’s being rested. He’s also nursing a sprained ankle that has left him day to day when it comes to practicing, but he’s expected to start against the New York Jets in the regular-season opener Sept. 13.
