Redskins quarterback Colt Brennan, placed on the injured reserve list Saturday and ineligible to play this season, said Sunday night during a radio appearance that it's possible he could have played with hip and hamstring injuries, but that the ailments would have compromised his performance.

"You're always going about 90-95 percent," Brennan said during an appearance on WJFK-106.7. He reiterated what Vinny Cerrato, the team's executive vice president for football operations, said Saturday. Cerrato said a torn labrum in Brennan's hip appears tohave led to hamstring problems.

"It causes all this tightness in my hamstring," Brennan said. "... just got to be patient now."
