There have been rumors flying around suggesting Richard Seymour might not report to the Raiders. Sports Illustrated’s Peter King alluded to that possibility, quoting a friend of Seymour.
According to David White of the San Francisco Chronicle, the team had not been in contact with the former Patriots defensive end as of late last night.
Answers should be forthcoming, as the media has an open locker room session right around now, followed by practice. Raiders coach Tom Cable is expected to address the media around 1 p.m. west coast time.
UPDATE: No sign of Seymour during the open locker room, according to Jerry McDonald of the Oakland Tribune. The Chronicle’s White also reported Seymour wasn’t present during the Raiders’ late morning walkthrough practice session.
