Aaron Hernandez expected back Thanksgiving

Pats TE Aaron Hernandez (ankle) is expected back Thanksgiving night at the Jets. The Patriots held him out Sunday because the short turnaround for Thursday probably wouldn’t have been possible.

Fantasy Impact:

The story said the Pats could become a more receiver-focused team with Wes Welker, Brandon Lloyd, Julian Edelman and Greg Salas. It also said Rob Gronkowski and Hernandez play different TE position in the Pats system, so maybe don't expect Hernandez to step in and be Gronk.

If the Patriots want to stick with their two TE system while Gronkowski is out, then Michael Hoomanawanui (6-4, 263) and Daniel Fells (6-4, 265) could fill Gronkowski’s Y position. Hernandez (6-1, 245) and Visanthe Shincoe (6-4, 250) are the flex tight ends. Hoomanawanui and Fells likely wouldn't be great fantasy options, though and Hernandez should still see a bit of increase in value.
