The Detroit Lions have placed wide receiver Titus Young on injured reserve.
The move effectively ends Young's season.
Lions head coach Jim Schwartz said Monday a move with Young was forthcoming, and he would make the news public. Just over 24 hours later, Young has been shelved for the season with the team citing a knee injury.
Fantasy Impact:
Looks like Young's career as a Lion is over. As for this season, Mike Thomas was named the starter opposite Calvin Johnson, and has a pretty clear path the rest of the season as the Lions WR2. He should have some value in an offense that certainly uses the pass more than the run.
