Pittsburgh still has holes to fill this offseason, and the Patriots (if they are still interested in WR Emmanuel Sanders) could be waiting for the Steelers to make other roster moves, which would further limit their cap space and ability to match an offer.

The deadline for an offer is April 19.

It's a bit of a crapshoot as to who the "WR2" on the offense will be, but now that he's ruled out, Brown and Goedert should get a nice boost to their bottom line. That would lock Goedert into a no-doubt TE1 role in Week 12.
