Eagles RB LeSean McCoy said he has two goals coming into this season: Stay healthy and become “more dominant.”

McCoy said he should be able to accomplish both under new coach Chip Kelly, who’s expected to emphasize the running game more than previous coach Andy Reid.

“The last few years, I’ve had good years, but I don’t think I was dominant,” McCoy said upon reporting to training camp Thursday. “In this offense, [I’ll have] the ability to run the ball more, where I can take over a game. There have been flashes of it in the past, but having the ability to do it day in and day out and game in and game out has been a different story.

“Chip has shown that he runs the ball tons, so I think that’s the difference.”

Fantasy Impact:

Kelly ran a run-heavy offense in college, but may not have that luxury in the NFL, in which the games will be far more competitive. Still, the Eagles are going to run the ball more than they did under Andy Reid, and this can only help McCoy.
