Justin Tuck’s shoulder injury apparently isn’t serious, but he could miss one and possibly two games as a result of his awkward fall after Cowboys LT Flozell Adams tripped him Sunday night.

In case you missed the news in today’s Daily News - see, if you had bought a paper this morning, you’d already know this - Tuck has a partially torn labrum, according to someone familiar with his situation. He apparently avoided any serious damage and is not in danger of needing any surgery.

There’s even a chance Tuck could play through the injury. But the estimated recovery time is two weeks, so it’s possible Tuck and the Giants will decide it’s better for him to sit Sunday’s game in Tampa out because, depending on the extent of the tear, he could still make it worse.

The Giants have not revealed any details of Tuck’s injury, though something of an update is expected from Tom Coughlin later today. It does not appear likely that Tuck will practice today, even on a limited basis.

Considering the types of damage Tuck could have done to his shoulder, a partially torn labrum really is pretty good news.
