The 49ers waived wide receiver Marlon Moore on Wednesday in a move that clears a roster spot for the expected return of starting receiver Mario Manningham.
Manningham still is on the physically unable to perform list. The 49ers have until Wednesday to decide whether to activate Manningham to the 53-man roster or place him on season-ending injured reserve.
All indications are that Manningham will be activated and ready to play against the Carolina Panthers on Nov. 10.
Fantasy Impact:
Manningham won't have much value even though he's likely to start once healthy. The 49ers are a run-first team and he'll be behind Vernon Davis and Anquan Boldin for targets.
