Cowboys owner Jerry Jones just stopped by practice and said that he expects starting running back Marion Barber to play Sunday against Denver. Jones said Barber will do more in practice today than he did yesterday.
"He did more [Wednesday] than we thought and will have expectations," Jones said of Barber playing against Denver on Sunday. "I would like to reserve that [decision] to after practice, but I bet he's pretty aggressive out here in practice, listening to how he responded [Wednesday] and listening to these trainers, he should be able to go. I'm glad he's looking as good as he did. I think we made the right decision last week [not playing Barber against Carolina]."
Jones said if Barber looks "strong," he would start Sunday. That will have to be determined in later practices this week. Barber missed the Carolina game on Monday night with a strained left quadriceps.
