Maurice Jones-Drew’s public stance is he wants to return, and it is believed the Jaguars would like him back but at a reasonable price and with the understanding he will have an adjusted role.

Jones-Drew has played 61 percent of the Jaguars’ snaps, which is tied for 10th among NFL running backs.

The easy comparison is the contract Steven Jackson signed with Atlanta last off-season — a three-year, $12 million deal ($4 million guaranteed).

Fantasy Impact:

MJD's situation will be one to monitor. If he doesn't return, it will open up a starting job for a free agent or a draft pick, or perhaps someone already on the team.
