Brandon Pettigrew is a bit of a relic in today’s NFL, a tight end who’s just as comfortable blocking as he is catching the ball.
For the Detroit Lions, that versatility was a part of their offense they couldn’t bear to lose.
Pettigrew agreed to a four-year, $16-million deal with the Lions on Thursday that includes $8 million guaranteed.
Fantasy Impact:
After back to back top 12 seasons in 2010 and 2011, Pettigrew finished #21 in 2012 and #31 last year. He's a low-end TE2, at best. His return puts a big dent in any sleeper potential that Joseph Fauria will have heading into next season.
