Wade Phillips' job as coach of the Dallas Cowboys is safe for the remainder of the season, owner Jerry Jones said Thursday.
"We've got a chance to get a lot of things done," Jones said during his weekly radio interview on KRLD-FM. "And we've got a lot of football left to play, and we've got some good people that not only can play it but coach it."
Jones' endorsement of Phillips for the rest of this season comes during Dallas' bye week and follows what could have been one of the Cowboys' worst losses ever -- had they not defeated the winless Kansas City Chiefs in overtime on Sunday.
