Giants right tackle Kareem McKenzie, who was carted off the Superdome field on Sunday with an injured groin, will practice this afternoon, according to Giants coach Tom Coughlin, at least on a limited basis.
“Kareem’s going to try to go,” the coach said. “If he gives us a few snaps that will be good.”
It remains to be seen how his groin will hold up this week, of course, but the fact that he’s feeling good enough to at least try to practice means he’ll at least have a chance to start against the Arizona Cardinals Sunday night. If he does, it’ll mark the 39th straight game that the Giants have started the same five offensive linemen.
If McKenzie can’t go, rookie William Beatty would likely start in his place.
