Houston Chronicle: Sage Rosenfels has made it clear that he wants
to prove his doubters wrong. With Matt Schaub likely out for a
month with a torn MCL in his left knee, Rosenfels admitted he
wants to take this opportunity to prove he can be a starting QB in
the NFL. Despite playing for the Redskins, Dolphins and Texans
since his rookie season in 2001, Rosenfels never has never been
given a chance to compete for a starting job in training camp.
Rosenfels, 30, earned respect around the league last season when
he replaced Schaub in five starts and led the Texans to four
victories. But he started the offseason as the team's #2 QB again,
and he said he believes there are a lot of people who still don't
consider him capable of being a full-time starter
